Questions
Questions about color at Tawny
Do I need a consultation before my first color?
Yes. Every new color begins with one, so your stylist sees your hair and your history before mixing anything.
How long will my appointment take?
A balayage or babylights take three to four hours, and a root smudge about two. Each service on the menu lists how long it takes.
How do I choose a stylist?
Read the cards on the stylists page. Each of us does one look most, and each card has its own booking link.
What if my color is from a box or another salon?
Tell us everything you remember. Your color history decides the plan and the steps, and some plans take more than one visit.
Do you do a patch test?
If you have never colored your hair or have reacted to a hair product, we may ask for one at least two days before. Tell us when you book.
How does a deposit work?
Longer services hold your time with a deposit that goes toward the service. The menu marks which ones.
What if I need to cancel or run late?
Please give 48 hours' notice. If you are running late, call or text and we will see whether the plan still fits.
Can I bring a friend or a child?
A quiet friend is welcome, one at a time. Color days are long, so please arrange care for children.
How much will it cost?
It depends on your hair and your plan, and it shows when you book. How pricing works explains each part.
How do I look after my color between visits?
Your stylist gives you a short plan at the end of your visit: how often to wash, which shampoo, and when to book a gloss.
Start with a consultation
Thirty to forty-five minutes on your hair, your color history and a plan, with the stylist who will do the work.
