How pricing works

We don't print prices, because color isn't priced off a list. Here is what sets yours, and where to see it.

  • What decides the price

Your price follows the length and density of your hair, how much lightening or color the plan needs, how many steps it has and the time it takes. A root smudge and a full balayage on long hair are not the same afternoon. Your stylist's level also sets the price, and the booking page shows each stylist's.

    • Lightening and steps

    • Time in the chair

    • Your stylist's level

  • Every new color service starts with a consultation of thirty to forty-five minutes: your hair in daylight, your color history and photos you bring. You leave with a plan, a stylist and the price for the plan. Ask when you book how a consultation is charged and whether it counts toward your service.

  • A stylist's level is one of the things that sets your price. Higher levels take on more complex plans and more steps in a visit. The booking page shows each stylist's level and what it means for your service, and you can choose any of us.

  • Deposits

Longer services (balayage, babylights, grow-out resets and corrections) take a deposit to hold the time. The menu marks each one, and the deposit goes toward your service.

  • Canceling or running late

We ask for 48 hours' notice to move or cancel a color appointment, because your stylist's day is set aside for you. If you are running late, call or text us and we will see whether the plan still fits.

  • Add-ons and changes on the day

A gloss, a blowout or face-framing brightness can be added at the consultation or on the day. Your stylist tells you what the add-on changes in time and price before anything is mixed, and you say yes first.

  • Tipping

Tipping is welcome and never expected. You can tip your stylist when you pay, or add it on the booking page.

  • Gift cards and packages

Gift cards are sold in any amount and can go toward any service. Buy one online and it arrives by email.
